Corral Data Applications Facility

The TACC Data Applications Facility support data-centric science at the University of Texas. Corral consists of 1.2 Petabytes of online disk and a number of servers providing high-performance storage for all types of digital data.

Ranch Mass Storage Services at TACC

The TACC mass storage server provides both short term and long term high performance storage (HPS). A Sun Microsystems® StorageTek ranch (ranch.tacc.utexas.edu) utilizes Sun's Storage Archive Manager Filesystem (SAM-FS) for migrating files to/from a tape archival system with a current storage capacity of 1 Petabyte(PB).
